Henry Wandrie, co-founder of Epiphany Solar Water Systems, has been working on the solar still concept since its conception.  Mr. Wandrie has more than a decade of engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and business management experience.  He has a strong background in the development of automated mass production techniques for parts made of exotic materials, including high nickel alloys and titanium.  Mr. Wandrie’s previous employers include General Motors, Delphi, Honeywell, and LISI Medical – where his efforts to streamline their various manufacturing processes have resulted in tens of millions of dollars in cost savings.

At Epiphany SWS, Mr. Wandrie brings a pragmatic manufacturing focus to the engineering design process.  Thanks to Mr. Wandrie’s input, Epiphany SWS is able to design every component of its products in such a way that Epiphany can take advantage of cost effective and rapidly scalable manufacturing processes.  As the company’s focus shifts from design to production, Mr. Wandrie’s extensive experience in off shore component sourcing – as well as his experience in the set up and qualification of off shore manufacturing facilities – will grant Epiphany the ability to scale its manufacturing capacity quickly and efficiently to keep up with rapid growth while meeting critical material specifications and maintaining stringent quality standards.
Mr. Wandrie holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Kettering University as well as certifications in Six Sigma, LEAN, & ISO.  For 2010 Mr. Wandrie was honored as Kettering University Alumnus of The Year for his professional and social endeavors.
