Epiphany is fortunate to have, as one of its co-founders, Mr. C. Christopher Newton, a published author and experienced expert in the field of experimental concentrated solar thermal energy systems.  Having defended a Master of Science thesis for his studies of the subject in 2007, Mr. Newton’s pragmatic approach and clearly reported empirical findings on the subject matter have laid the groundwork for other scientists’ research efforts around the globe.

Mr. Newton joined Epiphany Solar Water Systems in the spring of 2009.  He has extensive background knowledge of design, fabrication, prototyping, analysis, and production of alternative energy systems and aerospace technologies.  Mr. Newton’s endeavors include alternative energy and aerospace research and development contracts awarded by NASA, ONR (Office of Naval Research), SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies), Blue Origin, ULA (United Launch Alliance), Pratt and Whitney, and Northrop Grumman Corporation.  Some of his works include solar thermal power generation, hydrogen production through electrolysis, jet noise reduction techniques, GH2/GO2 catalytic thruster development, zero-G propellant management devices, slosh and anti-vortex baffle design, analysis, and testing, electronic component design, and lifecycle/pass-fail test apparatus design.  He gained the majority of his aerospace experience while at IES in San Diego, California.    He holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida State University.
